The first edition of the FSB Sports Show Riyadh attracted over 13,000 visitors in June 2025. This makes it the largest trade fair in Saudi Arabia for sports infrastructure, recreational facilities, and public spaces. The event aligns with the country’s ambitions as it prepares for major sporting events such as the Asian Winter Games 2029 and the FIFA World Cup in 2034.
The trade fair, organized by Koelnmesse and dmg events, targeted professionals involved with stadiums, public parks, schools, and large-scale urban developments. Attendees explored turnkey solutions for sports surfaces, artificial turf, recreational amenities, and urban design. Among the 200 exhibitors was Greenfields from the Netherlands, a specialist in artificial turf systems.
In addition to a wide range of products, knowledge sharing was a central focus. During the conference programs “Saudi Sports & Leisure Summit” and “ActiveSpaces 360,” topics included smart sports facilities, climate-resilient design, and accessibility. Representatives from organizations such as IAKS, ESTC, and Labosport discussed technical standards and sustainable applications for sports fields and public spaces.
The fair supports Saudi Arabia’s Sport for All policy, which aims to increase sports participation and promote healthy living environments. This has led to growing demand for high-quality, future-proof sports infrastructure. The second edition of the FSB Sports Show Riyadh is scheduled for 15 to 17 June 2026.

For field managers, the event offers insights into international developments in artificial turf, public sports facilities, and sustainable management. Given the scale of investments in the Middle East, this fair is also relevant for Dutch suppliers and consultants in sports and recreation facilities.
